CIHS Speech team has phenomenal year

The Bluejacket Speech Team had a very fun and successful season. “We have a group of amazing, talented, dedicated, and fun students on this team,” said Head Coach Lee Orvik.  We competed in ten speech tournaments this season, and our team earned a lot of trophies, medals, and ribbons this season”.

Cambridge-Isanti earned the 2021 Mississippi 8 Speech Championship trophy. 10 Bluejackets earned All-Conference honors; and six earned All-Conference Honorable Mention.

“We had five members of our team make it to the Minnesota State AA Speech Meet on Friday, April 23rd”.  Those Bluejackets were Ella Orvik, Rachel Watson, Molly Siedlecki, Maisie Gartner, and Jenna Anderson.

At the state speech meet, four Bluejackets were named to the Minnesota All-State Speech Team.  That is an incredible accomplishment. The All-State Speech Team members are: Maisie Gartner, Ella Orvik, Molly Siedlecki, and Rachel Watson.
