Solar eclipses are among the most stunning natural displays of our time. At the time of writing this article, a solar eclipse will be taking place, and according to many super-professional pseudoscientists, Cambridge is a prime viewing spot for the eclipse.
Some fast facts about the eclipse:
- It’s the first solar eclipse visible from North America in seven years
- The next solar eclipse is dated August 23, 2044, according to NASA
- It will last about four minutes and twenty-eight seconds
- 31.6 million people live in the path affected by it
As I said, Cambridge will have an amazing view of this spectacular event.
“Yes, Cambridge is a great place to view the eclipse, perhaps the best in the world.” Says Dr. F. Ake, a Physicuslogist from the University of Hogwarts.
It was determined by Cambrige-Isanti officials that “There will be no outdoor activities from 12:30 – 3:15 as a safety precaution.”.
If we had been able to, I would have encouraged all of you to go outside and observe this fantastical phenomenon with proper eclipse glasses.
The pictures included
in this article show how breathtaking the skies are on this monumental day. These amazing shots were c
aptured by my amazingly professional, high-quality phone camera. I was almost blinded by the glorious sun this morning.
I know this was a short article, but I hope you will all enjoy the amazing wonder of nature put on display today. And remember: don’t forget your sunglasses.
“I don’t see what all the hype was. It just looked like a cloudy day to me,” CIHS Sophomore Big Mike Frid said.
