The 2025 Homecoming celebration was a smashing success! Students and staff dressed up all week: Monday was Jersey Day, Tuesday was Dress Like Will Hovseth Day (also known as Tropical Day), Wednesday was Pink Day, Thursday was Adam Sandler Day, and Friday was Bluejacket Spirit Day.
The 2025 Royal Court consisted of Queen Candidates: Ainsley Doom, Lilia Osei-Dankwah, Jovie Ebertowski, Elsie Schneider, Faith Foley, and Aubrey Wilson. Aubrey was voted in as Queen. The King Candidates were Brody Estrada, Brendan Lindberg, Wesley Kennedy, Tucker Mulder, Gus Knowlton, and Jackson Ziebarth. Gus was voted in as King. The Royal Pages were Hailey Jordan and Jaxton Bostrom (both IPS) and Ginny Klimek and Walter Porta (both CPS).
The emcees for the Coronation and the Royal Tour were Josiah Schlueter and Drake Goebel. The Royal Tour, featuring the Royal court, emcees, and numerous band members, visited all the schools in the district. It was amazing how young children can hit such ear-deafening levels of decibels.
There was plenty of sports action happening during the week. The Tennis Team was honored for winning its second straight Mississippi 8 Conference tennis title. The girls battled it out with a Powder Puff Football game in which the junior class outdueled the seniors in a hard-fought
contest. The football team also defeated St. Francis by a decisive 34-21 score, earning the cherished paddle trophy. There was a tailgate party complete with face painting, games, and food trucks before the football game.
The week concluded with the highly successful Homecoming Dance, which drew 822 attendees, many of whom danced until the end of the evening.
Fantastic job to everyone involved in making this a week to remember.
