Where are you from?
I grew up K-12 in the Center Grove Community School District in Greenwood, IN (south suburb of Indianapolis). I earned my BS at Purdue University and my MS at Indiana University.

Have you taught anywhere else?
I student taught at Indianapolis Public School #101 Harshman Middle School and Arsenal Tech High School. I then had the pleasure of teaching in Charlotte, NC at West Charlotte High School for three years and West Mecklenburg High School for three years. I have taught at North Branch Area High School for the past 5 years before coming to CIHS.

What is your favorite part of teaching?
My favorite parts of teaching are being a positive influence and sharing my wisdom, insights and understandings.

What do you think of the CIHS staff and students so far?
I have felt welcome since day one. They have made for a great transition by making me feel like a member of the family.

Which area do you teach/work in?
I work in the Mathematics Department, teaching Trig/College Trig, College Algebra, Calculus/College Calculus

If you had to pick another subject to teach what would it be?
There are other subjects to teach? I’ve thought about Physics.

Choose one superpower what would it be and why? Superhero name?
The power to disappear/appear whenever/wherever I need to. I’m an introverted person and sometimes I need to use these powers. The One.

Favorite music genre? Artist?
I listen to Contemporary Christian music. My favorite genres within that realm is rap and R&B. My favorite artist is TobyMac.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Any type of sushi.

Dream travel location?
I would like to travel to Germany. I have family roots in the state of Hesse.
