Two celebration were recently held for current ninth graders who were nominated for displaying excellent character traits within the school. Students were nominated for a variety of different reasons but it was nice to have an event that recognized students “caught doing something nice.”

CIHS Principal Dr. Gibbs spoke consecutive November mornings to groups of students that were separated alphabetically by their last names. This is the first time CIHS has had two breakfast celebrations but so many students were nominated that the media center couldn’t accommodate all the nominees and their families for one event. “It’s a good problem to have,” Dr. Gibbs said.
