Hi everyone! I’m Emma Hill, I’m a senior this year at CIHS. I love to make art, and I’ve won several art awards. I won first place in K12’s Nation Wide Art Contest “What’s your Story?” (2016), third runner up for the Minnesota Art Month Youth Flag (2009), tied for second place in the Pioneers Peep Contest (2012), first place for Isanti Middle School’s Anti-Bullying Poster Contest (2014), and several other awards. I hope to find a career in the art field, or at least find a way to incorporate art into my career. Art is a huge part of my life, and it’s helped me work through some tough times in my life. I also love to write, to help find voices for those who can’t be heard in the crowd of people; and this is why I joined the school newspaper. I believe that everyone’s story deserves to be to heard, and I thought I could add a fresh voice to the newspaper.
