CIHS Senior Cross Country Runner Hunter Jacobson made his third straight trip to the Class AAA state cross country meet, his best one yet. This year, Jacobson earned all-state honors by finishing ninth in this race, held Saturday, Nov. 1, at the University of Minnesota’s Les Bolstad Golf Course. He completed the 5,000-meter race in 15 minutes and 41.1 seconds. This averages out to a 5-minute-per-mile pace. His top-ten finish was a massive jump from his earlier results, as he finished 113th as a sophomore and 118th last year.
“If Hunter’s great success this season is anything, it is a byproduct of his combination of individual talent and consistent hard work,” CIHS Head Cross Country Josh Lowman said.
